Mara Stein graduated from the American University, Washington College of Law. While in law school, she participated in a highly sought after internship program with the Executive Office Immigration Review, Arlington Immigration Court. She aided the Court in adjudicating immigration cases involving detained aliens, criminal aliens, and aliens seeking asylum as a form of relief from removal. She received her Bachelor's degree from the University of Maryland, prestigious School of Journalism, and College Park Scholars Program.
Mara Stein, Principal
Ms. Stein is a member of the Maryland State Bar, the Maryland Hispanic Bar Association, the Maryland Hispanic Chamber of Commerce and the American Immigration Lawyers Association. She represents businesses and individuals in achieving their employment and family immigration goals.
Ms. Stein also helps mothers, fathers, grandparents and spouses reorganize their family structure, finances and parenting schedules in divorce, custody, and child support matters. She has successfully litigated cases throughout the state of Maryland. She is certified by the State of Maryland as a Best Interest of the Child Attorney and trained in the Collaborative Divorce process.
Ms. Stein's contributions to the community include frequent work with the Maryland Volunteer Lawyers Service. She has handled numerous cases for domestic violence victims. She also serves as a committee member for her community co-opt board and recently won the United States Tennis Association's Maryland State championship for mixed doubles tennis.
Ms. Stein is fluent in Spanish. She was born in Tegucigalpa, Honduras and moved to the United States when she was a child.
